Add option to set lock screen and home screen wallpaper separately
When creating a theme, I cannot select whether to apply the wallpaper to the lock screen or home screen, it is always applied to both.
I'd also like the option to do this when selecting a photo from my photos app.

Am absolutely delighted the the team have supported your idea 💡 and it's live on 1. 16.32.
Hopefully we can expect a few more feature drops from team Niagara before Xmas 🎁.
Big thanks to all who supported This . 👍☺️

With the recent update, I can't change the Lock Screen Wallpaper without deliberately switching off Niagara.
It's an essential feature which I believe the developers missed

I have a beautiful memory that I set as my background to help with stressful situations. This this app, I lost that and it's the saddest part of this app. I hope the development team can allow wallpaper customization.

Option to Set Wallpaper Separately for Home Screen and Lock Screen
When I try to change the wallpaper (including using "Set as" from the Gallery), the image correctly opens in Niagara Launcher's wallpaper picker. However, there is no option to choose whether to apply the wallpaper to the Home screen, Lock screen, or Both.
Currently, the wallpaper is automatically applied to both the Home screen and the Lock screen, with no way to select only one.
Steps to Reproduce:
Open an image in the Gallery.
Tap Set as → Wallpaper.
The image opens in Niagara Launcher's wallpaper screen.
Apply the wallpaper.
Expected Behaviour:
Before applying the wallpaper, there should be options to set it as:
Home screen only
Lock screen only
Both Home and Lock screens
Actual Behaviour:
The wallpaper is applied to both the Home screen and the Lock screen automatically, without giving the user a choice.

I am facing the same issue. When I subscribed to Niagara this option was available but they might have removed this in recent update.

I'm currently using the default wallpaper feature on my phone so I can do this. I wish I could do it through Niagara so I could save my theme

Thanks for writing this up so clearly! The same request is already being tracked here: Add option to set lock screen and home screen wallpaper separately.
Upvoting that post is the best way to push it, since we work through requests roughly by upvotes, and you will get updates there when its status changes.

Wallpaper Set Bug (home/lock screen)
Before: When I set a wallpaper, it asks whether it will apply to Home or Lock Screen.
Now: it only applies to Home Screen with no Lock Screen option.

Thanks for the second report. The missing Home or Lock Screen choice is tracked here: Add option to set lock screen and home screen wallpaper separately (In Review), and another OPPO user filed the same thing about Niagara's wallpaper picker not offering the choice.
Until that changes, the way around it is to set the lock screen wallpaper from your phone's own wallpaper settings instead of through Niagara.
One question, since you describe this as something that changed: was the dialog asking Home or Lock Screen the one from your phone's wallpaper settings, or did it show up inside Niagara? The reports we have say Niagara's own picker never offered that choice, so knowing which one you saw tells us whether something moved on our side.

Hi apologies i did not realize there's a report about this already.
What I've always done is go to gallery, pick a photo, then click “Set as wallpaper" then the wallpaper picker will ask if home screen or lockscreen. Now it's gone.
I don't think that's a Niagara picker though because I used my gallery. I never changed my wallpaper through the Niagara wallpaper picker option.
Could you confirm if Niagara never had that picker? If that's the case then it's my phone's OS that removed that?

Wallpaper picker skips home screen / lock screen selection
After updating to Niagara Launcher 1.16.7, setting a wallpaper through Niagara appears to skip Android’s usual selection dialog for choosing Home screen, Lock screen, or both. The wallpaper is applied directly to both screens.
Open an image from the phone’s wallpaper or gallery settings.
Select Niagara Launcher / Niagara wallpaper option.
Apply the wallpaper.
The wallpaper is set directly without showing the Home screen / Lock screen selection.
